San Gabriel Trench | Best because: unique trench project consisted of a series of four grade separations that lower the Union Pacific Railroad track while keeping surface streets at grade | Client: Jacobs | Completion Status: June 2018

Elk Grove Civic Center | Best because: more than a decade in the making and delayed by the 2008 recession, construction is finally wrapping up on this LEED Platinum project, which serves Elk Grovians with an aquatic center, veteran’s hall, and senior/community center | Client: Roebbelen Construction | Completion Status: Ongoing

North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program | Best because: developed specifically to bring water to almond growers and other farmers in the local area who were suffering from water shortages and high-priced water | Client: Myers-Rados JV | Completion Status: Ongoing
